The story so far
GMU served as Greenville’s commercial airport until 1962. Its next chapter emphasized business aviation, flight training, aircraft services and community access.
That transition helps explain the airport’s unusual mix today: a serious working airfield only three miles from downtown, surrounded by businesses, training organizations and public attractions.
